Jeffrey Taylor, CPA, CGMA, joined the Pope Companies in 1989 as the company’s financial controller. In his current role as Vice-President, Treasurer, and Chief Financial Officer, Taylor is responsible for all of the company’s finance, accounting, tax, treasury, and information technology activities. Over the past 25 years, he has directed those activities for the company’s real estate, transportation, and supply chain management business units. In addition, Taylor serves as Treasurer of the Lawrence E. Pope Foundation. Prior to joining the Pope Companies, Taylor was an accounting manager at USAir (now American Airlines).
Taylor holds a MA from Wake Forest University as well as MBA and undergraduate accounting degrees from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is a member of the North Carolina Association of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.
